First Aid is the initial assistance or care of a suddenly sick or injured person. It is the care a person applies as soon as possible after an accident or sudden illness. Applying first aid aims to preserve life, protect the casualty from further harm, provide pain relief, prevent the illness/injury from getting worse and provide reassurance to the person.

Delivery

 

One day program

In this delivery option a workbook is issued on enrolment and must be completed prior to class and then brought along to the class to undertake practical component & assessment. (This is usually done under flexible arrangements made with the participant on enrolment.)

Two day program

This option includes full face to face delivery completed in the class room. Practical component & assessment is done under supervision in the classroom.

Changes to RSA & RCG Laws

A new scheme is being introduced from Monday 22 August 2011. From that date, all registered training organisations (RTOs) that are approved to deliver Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) or Responsible Conduct of Gambling (RCG) courses will be required to use a common online system for recording course and student details.
